Tabla
Tabla is a percussion instrument that is widely used in traditional Indian music. It consists of a pair of small hand drums, one played with the right hand and the other with the left. The drums are generally made of wood and have a rounded shape with a flat playing surface on top, which is traditionally made of goat skin. The musician creates different sounds and rhythms by striking the drums with the fingers and palms of the hands, and by pressing and releasing the skin with the heels of the hands. The tabla is an important instrument in many genres of Indian music, including classical, devotional, and popular music.
